Agency Commission & Correspondence

Commission is paid to the agent on a monthly basis, according to the premium collected from Fund members for the prior month. A single check to the agency is issued along with a detailed listing of which accounts were collected for that month.

Commission checks are mailed within thirty days after the end of the month in which the premiums are received and recorded, less any commissions on returned premium.  Your agency's commission can either be mailed to you in a check or deposited directly into your bank account.  Please fill out the Authorization Form for Direct Deposit and email us at fubawc@fubaworkerscomp.com or fax it to us at 850-681-0765.

You may also elect to have your regular agency correspondence such as new and renewal policies, cancellations, reinstatements and endorsements sent via email.  Please fill out the Authorization Form for Electronic Correspondence and email us at fubawc@fubaworkerscomp.com or fax it to us at 850-681-0765.

Currently, we are paying 8% on both new and renewal business.  Individual agency commission levels can vary depending on your agency's total written premium volume.  We encourage you to contact your Marketing Representative to learn how you can earn additional commission.

AGENT OF RECORD PROCEDURES

  • All Agent of Record (AOR) requests must be made on either the appropriate ACORD AOR form or the insured's letterhead and signed by an owner or officer of the business.  Faxes are acceptable.
  • FUBA Workers’ Comp will notify the existing agency of the request.  The existing agency has 10 working days to secure a rescinding letter.
  • If a rescinding letter is received, FUBA Workers’ Comp will notify the agency requesting the change that no further action will be taken.
  • If no rescinding letter is received within the 10-day period, FUBA Workers’ Comp will send an Endorsement to the new agency notifying them of the change.
  • FUBA Workers' Comp protects the commission of new businesses for the writing agency during the first Fund year (until April 1st of the following Fund year).
  • Newly approved agencies cannot request AOR changes until they meet the required new business premium production goal set for their agency.
  • Any AOR requests during the month of March will be held and processed effective April 1st of the following Fund year.
  • The Agent of Record listed on the policy on the last day of the policy period (March 31st) is responsible for any commission credits or adjustments related to monthly self-audit payments or premium audits.
  •  AOR requests from cancelled agencies will not be processed.
  •  AOR requests on cancelled policies or policies pending cancellation will not be processed.  It is the requesting agency’s responsibility to re-submit the request once the policy has been reinstated.
  •  FUBA Workers' Comp reserves the right to make any changes or exceptions to this policy at any time without notification.
